Auto Mode Step 3 heater safety — forced stop at 73 degrees
During Smart Install Auto Mode Step 3 (nozzle check), the heater is forced to stop if the temperature reaches 73 degrees C or higher. If the temperature does not increase by 2 degrees within 10 minutes, an HC1 error occurs. This is a safety check — do not bypass it.
Door can slam shut and injure you during frame front removal
When removing the 12 screws holding the tub front, frame front, and control panel, make sure to hold the tub front with your hand after removing the screws. The door may close suddenly and harm you. Place a cushioned mat on the floor to prevent scratching parts. Never place removed screws on the tub front — they will fall into the sump assembly.
Many error codes are silent — cycle continues without display
Many check codes on the DW80K7050 do not display on the panel during normal operation. The codes 5C, PC, tC, HC1, bC2, bC3, AC, dC3, FC, 4C5, and 7C are all silent — the cycle continues without showing the error. Only 4C, HC, LC, OC, 5C1-5C5, 3C, AC6, and 9C1/9C2 actually display on the panel. Use the inspection code recall (n2 in Information Display) to find hidden errors.
PCB case removal requires lever technique on clasps
When removing the case PCB from the base, lift up the two clasps under the base using a flat tip screwdriver in a lever effect. Do not force it — the clasps can break. After pulling out the case PCB, secure it to the base using duct tape to prevent damage while working on other components.
