2 technician insights for the Samsung DW80M9 Series Dishwashers (2018)

Dry+ default setting exists to address consumer drying complaints

The n5 service mode setting allows technicians to set the Dry+ (or Sanitize) option to ON by default. This is specifically designed to address consumer complaints about drying performance. When set, the dishwasher automatically enables Dry+ on every power-on for courses that support it. Even if the consumer turns it off for one cycle, it re-enables on next power-on.

Heater safety cutoff at 73 degrees during Smart Install testing

During Smart Install STEP 3 heater testing, the heater automatically turns off if temperature exceeds 73 degrees C or if temperature increases by more than 2 degrees over the initial saved temperature (saved 30 seconds after starting). An HC1 error occurs if heater operation is not judged normal after 10 minutes. This protects against heater runaway during testing.
