6 technician insights for the this appliance

Always drain residual water before any service

Before replacing any parts: (1) Drain water by operating the drain pump, (2) Close the water supply valve, (3) Turn off the power and disconnect the power cable — you must turn off the circuit breaker connected to the product, (4) Pull out the unit from the sink and lay it on the floor — be careful of the drain hose when pulling out.

Main PBA hangs on hooks — lift carefully when removing

When removing the Main PBA, lift the board up carefully because it is hanging on the PBA case by two hooks. If you pull without lifting first, you can crack the board or break the hooks.

PBA version codes use BCD format with four LEDs

Both Main PBA and Sub PBA version codes are displayed in BCD (binary-coded decimal) format using four LEDs: Auto=8, Normal=4, Heavy=2, Express=1. For example, Auto+Heavy+Express LEDs on = code B (8+2+1=11). The code and software version alternate display at 1Hz.
