When removing the impeller from the circulation motor shaft, always wear gloves. The impeller has sharp edges that can cut your hands. Remove the single screw securing it to the motor shaft. Also, both sides of the cutter disposer are sharp — when replacing, place the side with the 'U' marking facing up.

After any service: (1) Check door lock switch — must lock during run, unlock when stopped, (2) Use only authenticated Samsung parts, (3) Check all wires — not loose or tight, correct connections, bound and clamped, (4) Check all screws/nuts fastened correctly with specified torque, (5) Remove ALL foreign material including wire scraps from inside tub and sump, (6) Run standard/Eco cycle and check for water leakage everywhere, (7) Check power cable, (8) Verify level, (9) Check installation surface is flat and stable.
