3 technician insights for the LG DLEX4270V Series Dryers
Moisture Sensor
When performing the moisture sensor functional test, the display reading should be between 30 and 180 under normal circumstances. A value above 180 when not contacted with a damp cloth may indicate sensor contamination or a wiring fault to the sensor bars.
PCB / Tab Relay
Incorrect tab relay connection case *4 (black and white housing crossed) is the only incorrect connection that still powers the PCB — but fires Heater 2 on the Heater 1 circuit and vice versa. All other incorrect combinations result in power-off condition. If heaters seem reversed, this is the first thing to check.
Thermistor
The thermistor resistance table is non-linear: resistance decreases as temperature increases, but the values around 130°F (54°C) and 140°F (60°C) are very close (2.9 kΩ vs 3.0 kΩ). Always use room-temperature readings for diagnosis unless the dryer has been running, in which case wait for the thermistor to cool before testing.
