Smart Install mode for verifying installation
After installing the dryer, use Smart Install mode to verify everything works: Press and hold Adjust Time up + Temp for 7 seconds. Display shows 'SC'. It tests the moisture sensor (touch sensor: 0=open, 1=short with wet cloth) and motor/heater (press Start to test: 'OK' = pass, 'HE' = fail). This is faster than running a full cycle to verify installation.
Belt installation mark — between 2 red arrows
When reassembling the drum belt, it must be located between 2 red arrows marked on the drum. Incorrect belt positioning can cause belt slipping, abnormal noise, or premature belt wear. This visual alignment guide is explicitly noted in the drum removal/reassembly instructions.
Heater heat wire vibration — it is normal
Some vibration noise from the heater heat wire is normal and should not be treated as a defect. The abnormal noise diagnostic flowchart explicitly states that vibration of the heater heat wire with proper fixation 'is normal.' Only investigate further if the fixation part of the heat wire is loose or the drum back and heater duct are moving.
Blower fan unbalance from debris — common overlooked noise cause
Noise from the motor area is often caused by debris (lint, small objects) stuck on the blower fan wings, creating an unbalance. Remove any alien particles from the fan and check that the fan nut is properly tightened (14mm socket). This does not require fan replacement if the fan itself is undamaged. The manual notes: 'Noise can be generated from the unbalance of the fan due to alien particle on the fan.'
