5 technician insights for the Samsung DV45H7000E Series Dryers (2014)

Do not replace PCB without proper diagnosis

The PCB assembly is designed to be reliable. Do not replace based on guesswork — always follow the complete trouble diagnosis procedure first.

Gas dryer ignition sequence — normal behavior

Gas models

When a gas dryer starts a heat cycle, the igniter should glow and the burner should fire within 45 seconds at 120 VAC. You will hear a clicking sound from the gas valve. This is normal. If ignition doesn't occur within 45 seconds, there is a component failure in the ignition system.

Live voltage on PCB — shock hazard

AC220-240V is applied to the triac T1 and T2 on the main PCB. Strong and weak electricity are mixed on the board. Never touch PCB components while the dryer is plugged in.
