Excessive heat buildup may result from a restricted vent system, thermistor failure or out-of-range readings, heater malfunction, thermostat failure, or airflow blockage.
How to fix it
Clean out the exhaust vent from the dryer to the outside wall. If the vent is clear and the error continues, the heating element or related safety switch may need replacing — call a technician.
