5 technician insights for the Samsung DVE54M8750 Series Dryers (2024)

Blower impeller blockage can cause dryer to run briefly then stop

If the dryer runs for a few minutes then stops, in addition to low voltage, check the blower impeller for blockage. Foreign material trapped in the blower housing can restrict airflow, cause rapid overheating, and trigger the safety thermostat to shut down the dryer. Also check the actuator of motor.

Clothes still damp -- comprehensive troubleshooting order

When clothes are still damp after a cycle, check in this order: 1) Vent properly installed and not blocked? 2) Lint filter clean? 3) Terminal block connection normal? 4) Touch sensor (moisture sensor) normal? 5) Temperature sensor (thermistor) normal? 6) Safety/Hi-Limit thermostat normal? 7) Heater normal (about 10Ohm resistance)? Also check: exhaust hood damper stuck closed, exhaust too long or too many elbows, flex ductwork installed, poor intake air, incorrect tumbler speed/belt slipping, blower impeller bound with foreign material, customer overloading, or clothes too wet from washer spin-out.

CN7 connector — all sensors on one harness

The CN7 connector carries all sensor signals: Thermistor 1 (Blue Pin 3, Red Pin 6), Thermistor 2 (Yellow Pin 2, White Pin 7), and Sensor Bars (Pink Pin 4, Orange Pin 5). When diagnosing sensor issues, disconnect this single connector and test each pair individually. This saves time compared to tracing individual wires.

Dropped screws recovery through duct exhaust hole

In case screws for a power cord or other small parts are dropped into the dryer during service, after removing the Duct Exhaust (1 screw), you can retrieve them through the hole. This saves significant disassembly time compared to removing the entire drum.
