Do not replace PCB without proper diagnosis
The PCB assembly is designed to be reliable and should not be replaced based on guesswork. Follow the complete trouble diagnosis procedure before concluding that the PCB is faulty. The manual explicitly warns against replacing the PCB assembly by wrong diagnosis.
Door reversal — Cover Hinge spring hazard
When reversing the door, push the Cover Hinge strongly when disassembling screws from the left side of the Front panel. If you do not push the Cover Hinge, the Lever Link will spring out due to the spring tension, potentially causing injury or losing the part. This is a specific WARNING in the manual.
Gas model ignition timing — 45-second rule
Gas modelsOn gas models, when the dryer is operated on a heat setting, the igniter should be energized and the burner shall fire within 45 seconds at 120 VAC. If it takes longer or fails, there is a component failure in the ignition system. Three distinct failure modes exist: no glow, glow but no ignition, and ignition with flame going out — each points to different components.
Live voltage on PCB — electric shock risk
Electric modelsAC220-240V is applied to the triac T1 and T2 on the main PCB. Even when the dryer appears off, dangerous voltage may be present on the PCB. Strong and weak electricity are mixed together on the board. Never touch PCB components while the dryer is plugged in.
