The Vent Blockage Test will give inaccurate results if the drum contains items (triggers C1 code) or if the internal temperature is too low or too high (triggers Ct code). If the dryer is warm from recent use, run the AIR FLUFF cycle for several minutes first to cool it down. The drum must be completely empty for accurate results.

Lint transfer between clothes is a common complaint. Key advice: some fabrics are lint producers (e.g., fuzzy white cotton towels) and must be dried separately from lint trappers (e.g., black linen pants). Divide larger loads into smaller loads, check pockets thoroughly before drying, and remove lint inside the drum before drying a load. Clean the lint filter during the cycle for clothes that naturally build up lint.

When removing the drum after belt removal, the manual advises to carefully spread the cabinet as needed to get extra clearance, but warns to take care not to deform the cabinet. This is a practical tip that saves time - the drum can be difficult to extract without slightly flexing the cabinet walls, but excessive force will permanently damage the frame.

Several noises are normal: gas valve clicking on/off, heating element cycling on/off, and humming from high velocity air moving through the drum, fan, or exhaust system. Abnormal noises include: objects like coins, loose buttons, or nails (check pockets), and the dryer not being leveled properly. Check the load for foreign objects and verify leveling before diagnosing further.
