6300 vs 6100 model differences — features and E-Star

The DVE(G)45R6300* models include Smart Control, Vent Sensor, Steam, and Energy Star certification. The DVE(G)45R6100* models lack Smart Control, do not have Energy Star certification (Non e-star), and have a lower energy factor (3.73 vs 3.93 for electric). Both use Touch control panels with 18:88 G.LED displays. The 6100 also has a different door style (New Tint vs New TOC).

Do not replace PCB without completing all troubleshooting steps

The manual explicitly states: 'Before replacing a PCB ensure all trouble shooting steps have been completed.' PCB assemblies should not be replaced based on guesswork. Follow the complete diagnosis procedure before concluding that the PCB is faulty. PCBs are expensive and often not the actual root cause.

Try this first

Dual heater element — two separate elements to test independently

The electric model uses a DUAL heating element rated at 5300W total. When testing, you must check BOTH elements separately: PIN 2-3 should read 13 ohm and PIN 1-2 should read 34 ohm. There is also a SINGLE configuration where PIN 1-3 reads 10 ohm. One element can fail while the other works, resulting in reduced heating rather than no heating at all.

Dual vs Single heater element configurations

Electric models come in both DUAL and SINGLE heater configurations. DUAL heater: 13 Ohm (PIN 2-3) and 34 Ohm (PIN 1-2). SINGLE heater: 10 Ohm (PIN 1-3). With a DUAL heater, one element can fail while the other works, resulting in reduced heating rather than no heating at all. Always test both elements separately.
