Smart Install mode for verifying installation -- SC display

After installing the dryer, use Smart Install mode to verify everything works: Press Adjust Time Up + Temp for 7 seconds. Display shows 'SC'. It tests the moisture sensor (touch sensor) and the motor/heater in two steps. If both pass, display shows 'OK'. If motor or heater fails, display shows 'HC'. This is faster than running a full cycle to verify installation.

Normal noises vs abnormal noises

Normal dryer noises include: thumping from drum rotation, airflow sounds from the blower, clicking from gas valve or heating element cycling on/off, and humming from high velocity air moving through the drum, fan, or exhaust system. Before diagnosing noise complaints, check for foreign objects in the drum such as coins, loose buttons, or nails. Ensure the dryer is level. Only persistent metallic scraping, squealing, or roaring sounds indicate a component problem.
