Ring terminals vs. spade terminals at power connections

Samsung explicitly recommends ring terminals over spade terminals for power cord connections to the terminal block. Spade terminals can work loose over time, causing arcing, overheating, and power delivery problems (9C1 error). This recommendation appears prominently in the 'power does not work' diagnostic flowchart. When a customer reports intermittent power issues, the terminal block connection with spade terminals should be one of the first things checked.

Sensor bar readings — know the exact resistance values

The moisture sensor bars should read approximately infinity ohms without laundry and approximately 190 ohms plus/minus 10% with wet clothes. Test between Pink wire Pin 4 and Orange wire Pin 5. If the sensor bars are contaminated with fabric softener residue, they will give inconsistent readings, causing the Fuzzy Logic algorithm to end cycles prematurely (clothes still damp) or run too long. Clean sensor bars with rubbing alcohol to restore accurate readings.
