What This Means

What actually causes this:
Most often caused by a clogged exhaust vent that traps hot air inside the dryer, or the heating element has burned out.
First Thing to Check
Check your exhaust vent — disconnect it from the back of the dryer and look for lint buildup inside.

2. Measure thermistor resistance: Cycling Thermistor1 should be 10KOhm at 25C; Cycling Thermistor2 should be 238.231KOhm at 25C

3. Check thermostat resistance: should be < 1Ohm (infinity means replace)

4. Check heater resistance: DUAL heater - 13Ohm between PIN 2-3, 34Ohm between PIN 1-2; SINGLE heater - 10Ohm between PIN 1-3
