Child Lock can fool technicians
If all buttons except Power are unresponsive, check the Child Lock indicator first before diagnosing a PCB failure. Once Child Lock is activated, it remains active even after restarting the dryer. To deactivate, press and hold Dryness + Temp for 3 seconds. This is a common gotcha that can lead to unnecessary PCB replacement.
Operate 20 minutes after service to check for DC error
After completing service on the dryer, operate it on time dry for 20 minutes and check whether a DC error occurs or not. If a DC error occurs, check the terminal wiring of the compressor (applicable to heat pump models) or door switch wiring. This catches reassembly errors before the customer discovers them.
