Gas igniter bar is extremely fragile
Gas modelsWhen removing the gas burner assembly, the Igniter Bar is extremely fragile and easy to break. Handle with extreme care during removal and installation. A broken igniter will read outside the 40~400 Ohm range and must be replaced. Take extra care when sliding the burner assembly out of the unit.
Gas valve coil resistance values for diagnosis
Gas modelsThe gas valve (25M01A) has four coil circuits to test: Valve 1-2 = approx. 1365 Ohm, Valve 1-3 = approx. 560 Ohm, Valve 4-5 = approx. 1325 Ohm, Valve 6-7 = approx. 1000 Ohm. If any coil is significantly outside these values, replace the gas valve. This is a gas-model-specific diagnostic that requires knowing the correct pin-out.
