Blower impeller blockage can cause dryer to run briefly then stop
If the dryer runs for a few minutes then stops, in addition to low voltage, check the blower impeller for being jammed in the blower housing. Foreign material trapped in the blower housing can restrict airflow, cause rapid overheating, and trigger the safety thermostat to shut down the dryer. Also check the motor actuator and for lint buildup around the drive motor.
Clothes still damp -- check these items first
When clothes are still damp after a cycle, follow the 'clothes not dried' flowchart in this order: 1) Vent properly installed and not blocked? 2) Lint filter cleaned? 3) Terminal block connection normal? 4) Touch sensor normal? 5) Temperature sensor (thermistor) normal? 6) Safety Hi-Limit thermostat normal? 7) Heater normal (approximately 10Ohm)? Only after all these checks should you suspect the PCB.
Clothes still damp — check these items in order
When clothes are still damp after a cycle, the diagnostic flowchart prescribes this exact order: 1) Vent properly installed? 2) Lint filter cleaned? 3) Terminal block connection normal? 4) Touch sensor (moisture sensor) normal? 5) Temperature sensor (thermistor) normal? 6) Safety/Hi-limit thermostat normal? 7) Heater normal (approximately 10Ohm)? 8) PCB assembly. Following this order avoids unnecessary parts replacement.
CN7 connector -- one-stop sensor testing point
All moisture sensor and thermistor tests can be performed at the CN7 connector without deep disassembly. Pin 4 (Pink) and Pin 5 (Orange) are the sensor bars, Pin 3 (Blue) and Pin 6 (Red) are Thermistor 1, and Pin 2 (Yellow) and Pin 7 (White) are Thermistor 2. Knowing this saves significant diagnostic time.
