6 technician insights for the this appliance

Door switch insert direction matters during reassembly

When reassembling the door switch to the Frame Front, the insert direction is critical. Installing the door switch in the wrong orientation will cause it to malfunction and may trigger dC or dF error codes. The manual specifically warns to be careful of insert direction when reassembling the Door-Switch Housing.

Door switch insert direction matters during reassembly

When reassembling the door switch to the Frame Front, the insert direction is critical. Installing the door switch in the wrong orientation will cause it to malfunction and may trigger dC or dF error codes. After reassembly, always verify that the Frame Front is fixed on the Frame properly and that the Door-Switch works correctly before fully reassembling the dryer.

Child Lock persists across power cycles

Once Child Lock is activated (Dryness + Temp for 3 seconds), it remains active even after the dryer is restarted. All buttons except Power are disabled. If a customer reports buttons not responding, check the Child Lock indicator first. This is a very common 'false alarm' service call that can be resolved without a visit.

Door reversal procedure involves 10 screws with different lengths

The door reversal procedure requires removing 10 screws. Screw B (x2) is longer than the others. If you mix up the screws during reinstallation, the shorter screws in the longer screw positions will not hold properly and the door assembly will be loose. Keep screws organized by position during disassembly. Also requires switching positions of hinge cover/door handle and hinge holder/glass-guide holder.
