Error Code E IF
Defect of BLDC fan motor for ice making — no feedback signal for more than 65 seconds
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: E IF
How to Fix
- 1
Step 1: Reset the unit and enter Test Mode 1. Open the freezer door and check for airflow from the icing fan duct.
- 2
Step 2: If airflow is present, proceed to Step 5. If no airflow, proceed to Step 3.
- 3
Step 3: Rotate icing fan blade by hand. If sticky/bound, replace the icing fan motor.
- 4
Step 4: Measure motor supply voltage at CON4 12th Pin ~ 11th Pin. Should be 11.4~12.6V. If absent, replace Main PCB.
- 5
Step 5: Measure fan feedback voltage at CON4 10th Pin ~ 11th Pin. Value must NOT be 0V or 5V. If stuck at 0V or 5V, replace fan motor.
- 6
Step 6: Measure fan PWM voltage at CON4 9th Pin ~ 11th Pin. Value must NOT be 0V or 5V. If stuck at 0V or 5V, replace Main PCB.
- 7
Step 7: If all voltages correct and fan spins freely, explain to customer.
