Error Code tE
Heating Error — thermistor is out of order.
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
What This Means
Heater connector broken or loose; Heater resistance out of range (should be 12-18 Ω); Thermistor connector broken or loose; Thermistor resistance out of range (should be ~39.5 kΩ at 30°C); Water leaked into thermistor connector; HEATER ASSEMBLY failure
How to Fix
- 1
Confirm tE ERROR is displayed.
- 2
Check if heater connector (steam generator heater or wash heater) is broken or loose. If YES → reconnect or repair connector.
- 3
If NO → check heater resistance (12-18 Ω). If out of range → replace HEATER ASSEMBLY.
- 4
If heater resistance OK → check if thermistor connector is broken or loose. If YES → reconnect or repair connector.
- 5
If NO → check thermistor resistance (should be ~39.5 kΩ at 30°C). If out of range → replace HEATER ASSEMBLY.
- 6
If thermistor resistance OK → check if water has leaked into thermistor connector. If YES → replace HEATER ASSEMBLY.
- 7
Note: control board failure causing tE is rare — sensing parts of thermistor circuit are only resistors and capacitors.

Related Error Codes
Suds Error — too many suds detected. Machine adds a Suds Reducing cycle (adds approximately 2 hours to cycle time). If too many suds detected during spinning, machine stops to prevent leaking.
Door Open Error (variant) — door switch circuit fault, same root causes as dE1.
EEPROM Error — EEPROM is out of order. Displayed only when START/PAUSE button is first pressed in Load Test Mode.
Power Failure — power supply was interrupted while washing machine was in operation, then power was rapidly restored.
Pressure Sensor Error — PRESSURE SENSOR ASSEMBLY is out of order; water level frequency consistently below 10 kHz or over 30 kHz. Note: PE error will not disappear when START/PAUSE is pressed; if unresolved within 20 seconds power turns off and error blinks.
Locked Motor Error — motor or motor harness fault.
Unbalance Error — load balance issue prevents spin.
Overflow Error — water is overflowing; water level frequency is over 21.3 kHz. Note: when FE is displayed, the drain pump will operate automatically to drain water. Power will NOT be turned off automatically.
