What This Means

Thermistor out of order; Heater connector broken or loose; Heater resistance out of range (spec: 12-18 Ohm); Thermistor connector broken or loose; Thermistor resistance out of range (spec: approx 39.5 kOhm at 30 deg C); Water leaked into thermistor connector; Control board failure (rare)

How to Fix

   Confirm tE is displayed

2. 2

   Check heater connector — if broken or loose, reconnect or repair

3. 3

   Measure heater resistance (spec: 12-18 Ohm) — if out of range, replace HEATER ASSEMBLY

4. 4

   Check thermistor connector — if broken or loose, reconnect or repair

5. 5

   Measure thermistor resistance (spec: approx 39.5 kOhm at 30 deg C / 86 deg F) — if out of range, replace HEATER ASSEMBLY

   Check if water has leaked into thermistor connector — if yes, replace HEATER ASSEMBLY

7. 7

   Note: control board failure is rare; sensing parts of thermistor circuit are only resistors and capacitors
