Error Code tE
Heating Error — thermistor out of order
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
What This Means
Heater connector broken or loose (steam generator heater or wash heater); Heater resistance out of range (should be 12-18 Ohm); Thermistor connector broken or loose; Thermistor resistance out of range (should be approximately 39.5 kOhm at 30°C); Water leaked into thermistor connector
How to Fix
- 1
Confirm tE error is displayed.
- 2
Check heater connector (steam generator heater and wash heater) for damage or looseness — reconnect or repair.
- 3
Check heater resistance (should be 12-18 Ohm). If out of range, replace Heater Assembly.
- 4
Check thermistor connector (steam generator thermistor and wash thermistor) for damage or looseness — reconnect or repair.
- 5
Check thermistor resistance: should be approximately 39.5 kOhm at 30°C. If out of range, replace Thermistor Assembly.
- 6
Check for water in thermistor connector — replace Thermistor Assembly if water present.
- 7
Note: control board failure for thermistor circuit is rare; sensing parts are only resistors and capacitors.
