Error Code tE
Heating Error — thermistor out of order
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
What This Means
Heater connector broken or loose; Heater resistance out of range (should be 12-18 Ω for both wash heater and steam generator heater); Thermistor connector broken or loose; Thermistor resistance out of range (should be approximately 39.5 kΩ at 30°C / 86°F); Water leaked into thermistor connector
How to Fix
- 1
Check heater connector (steam generator heater and wash heater) for broken or loose connection — reconnect or repair
- 2
Measure heater resistance (pin 1 to pin 2): should be 12-18 Ω; if out of range, replace heater assembly
- 3
Check thermistor connector for broken or loose connection — reconnect or repair
- 4
Measure thermistor resistance (pin 1 to pin 2 per 9-7 table): at 30°C should be ~39.5 kΩ (±5%); if out of range, replace thermistor assembly
- 5
Check for water leakage into thermistor connector — if found, replace thermistor assembly
- 6
Note: Control board failure is rare; thermistor circuit sensing parts are only resistors and capacitors
