Your dryer isn't heating properly or is overheating
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: HE
What This Means
Restricted vent system causing excessive heat buildup; Thermistor failure or out of range; Heater malfunction; Thermostat failure; Airflow blockage

Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check exhaust vent system for restrictions or blockages
- 2
2. Measure thermistor resistance: Cycling Thermistor 1 should be 10KOhm at 25C, Cycling Thermistor 2 should be 238.231KOhm at 25C
- 3
3. Check thermostat resistance: all thermostats should be < 1Ohm (infinity means replace)
- 4
4. Check heater resistance: DUAL heater — 13Ohm (PIN 2-3), 34Ohm (PIN 1-2). SINGLE heater — 10Ohm (PIN 1-3)
- 5
5. If resistance is infinity on heater, replace heater assembly
- 6
6. Call customer service if issue persists
