What This Means
Thermistor resistance out of range; PCB malfunction; Heater malfunction; Restricted vent causing excessive heat buildup
What actually causes this:
Most often caused by a clogged exhaust vent that traps hot air inside the dryer, or the heating element has burned out.
First Thing to Check
Check your exhaust vent — disconnect it from the back of the dryer and look for lint buildup inside.

1. Check the PCB and thermistor connections

2. Measure thermistor resistance: should be 10KΩ at 25°C (77°F)

3. Check thermostat resistance: should be < 1Ω (infinity means replace)

4. Check heater resistance: 13Ω (PIN 2-3) and 34Ω (PIN 1-2)

5. Check exhaust vent system for restrictions

6. If all components test good, replace main PCB
