Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check the PCB and thermistor
- 2
2. Check exhaust vent system for restrictions or blockages
- 3
3. Measure thermistor resistance: should be 10K ohm at 25 deg C (77 deg F)
- 4
4. Check thermostat resistance: should be < 1 ohm (infinity means replace)
- 5
5. Check heater resistance values per component testing section
- 6
6. For gas models, check gas valve, igniter, and flame sensor
