What This Means

Broken NTC sensor on PCB; Poor solder connection; Open circuit in sensor trace

What actually causes this:

The PCB temperature sensor is broken internally or has a bad solder joint

First Thing to Check

Visually inspect the small NTC sensor component on the main PCB for obvious damage

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Disconnect electrical power

  2. 2

    Remove back cover

  3. 3

    Remove PCB and visually inspect NTC sensor

  4. 4

    Measure NTC sensor resistance (should be 3200 ohms at room temperature)
