Oven sensor is open when oven is operating

What This Means

Oven sensor connector not inserted at Main PCB; Oven sensor connector not inserted; Oven sensor faulty or open circuit; Defective Main PCB

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Disconnect power and open back cover

  2. 2

    Check whether connector at the main PCB has been inserted

  3. 3

    Check whether connector at the sensor has been inserted

  4. 4

    Disconnect sensor harness from sensor

  5. 5

    Measure sensor resistance: should be 1080 Ohms at room temperature

  6. 6

    Check resistance of connector CN320 at Main PCB (Open: ∞ Ohms, Short: under 10 Ohms)

  7. 7

    Verify no patterns, soldering or parts related to oven sensor are damaged on main PCB

  8. 8

    Replace the temperature sensor if resistance value is incorrect

  9. 9

    Replace Main PCB if problem persists after sensor replacement
