Door locking malfunction — door lock motor or switch failure

What This Means

Disconnected or damaged harness to door lock switch or motor; Faulty door lock motor (out-of-spec resistance); Faulty door lock switch (micro switch); Incorrect voltage at door lock motor connector; Faulty main PCB

How to Fix

   Disconnect power and open the back cover

2. 2

   Check harness connections to door lock switch and motor

3. 3

   Measure resistance of door lock motor coil: normal is 1750 to 1950 ohms at room temperature

4. 4

   While operating door lock, measure voltage at lock motor harness connector: normal is AC 120V

5. 5

   Check whether door lock switch is operating correctly

6. 6

   Check CNS600 Pin 7 and Pin 9 on main PCB — normal resistance is infinity at room temperature with harness unplugged

   If voltage is present but motor does not operate, replace micro switch or lock motor

8. 8

   If voltage is absent, repair harness or replace main PCB
