Door locking information - Door lock malfunction

What This Means

Disconnected door lock harness; Faulty door lock motor; Broken lock switch; Control board issue

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Disconnect power and open back cover

  2. 2

    Check harness connection to door lock switch and motor

  3. 3

    Measure door lock motor resistance (normal 1.75-1.95 kOhm)

  4. 4

    With door lock activated, measure voltage at connector (normal AC 120V)

  5. 5

    Test door lock switch functionality

  6. 6

    Replace lock motor or switch if faulty
