Heater element shorted; Thermostat failed; Wire connection loose; Bimetal open circuit

What actually causes this:

Damper heater element failed or thermostat stuck

First Thing to Check

Unplug and check if CN40 connector is fully seated

How to Fix

  1. 1

    1. Disconnect MAIN PCB CN40 from board

  2. 2

    2. Measure resistance between CN40-25 and CN40-27

  3. 3

    3. Should read 135 ohms ±7%

  4. 4

    4. 0 ohm indicates short, infinity indicates open
