Defrost heater wiring broken; Heater element burned out or shorted; Bimetal thermostat failure; Thermostat protector open circuit

What actually causes this:

Defrost heater burned out or thermostat stuck open

Check fridge evaporator for frost and ice accumulation

Defrost Heater (REF) AC 120V, 120W / AC 230V, 120WF/R Thermo Fuse-Assy Protector AC 250V / 10A

How to Fix

    1. Power off refrigerator

  2. 2

    2. Separate MAIN PCB CN20 wire from PCB

  3. 3

    3. Measure resistance between CN20-5 and CN20-7

  4. 4

    4. Expected resistance: 120 ohm ± 7%
