Error Code C-FAN ERROR
Condenser fan in the machine compartment is not spinning
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: LED blinks (C-Fan Error)
What This Means
Fan motor mechanical failure or obstruction; Bad wiring connection; No pulse signal returned to MICOM; Main PCB driver failure
What actually causes this:
Dust and lint accumulation in the machine compartment blocks airflow and can seize the fan. Vibration can also loosen the motor connector.
First Thing to Check
Pull the refrigerator out from the wall and look into the machine compartment at the bottom — check for heavy dust buildup on or around the fan.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Verify compressor is running
- 2
Measure voltage between CN40-15 (W/GRY) and CN40-13 (S/BLU): should be DC 7–12V
- 3
Check pulse signal on CN40-11 when motor is running; should alternate ~7–12V and <2V
- 4
If no voltage at CN40-13, check Main PCB connector CN40 seating and relay
