What This Means
Drain pump motor impeller is damaged internally; Wrong voltage is supplied to the drain pump; Drain pump part fault; Drain hose is frozen (winter season); Drain hose is clogged with foreign material or injection error; Foreign material collected inside the drain pump assembly (rubber bands, bills, cotton, hair pins, coins); Water pump terminal is not connected; Main PCB is defective
What actually causes this:
Something like a coin, hair pin, or sock is clogging the drain pump filter
First Thing to Check
Check the drain pump filter (usually at the front bottom of the washer) and remove any debris like coins or lint

1. Check the drain pump resistance — normal: 13.5 Ohm to 16.5 Ohm

2. Check for any alien substance inside the draining pump motor

3. Check the natural drain in the same manner
- 4
4. Check for any incorrect connections or broken wires
- 5
5. If the machine intermittently malfunctions, check the wire and terminal connections to the main PBA

6. If the motor stops when wash tub water temperature is high, replace the pump
- 7
7. In winter, check if frozen water is blocking the drain — remove frozen water by referring to the relevant repair procedures

8. If main PCB is defective, replace it
