What This Means

Drain pump motor impeller is damaged internally; Wrong voltage is supplied to the parts; Drain pump part fault; Drain hose or pump is frozen in winter; Drain hose is clogged with foreign material (injection error); Foreign material collected inside drain pump — rubber bands, bills, cotton, hair pins, coins; Water pump terminal is not connected; Main PCB fault

What actually causes this:

A small item like a coin, hair pin, or sock got into the drain pump and is blocking it

First Thing to Check

Check the drain pump filter (usually at the bottom front of the washer) — open it and remove any debris like coins or lint

How to Fix

    1. Check for any alien substance inside the draining pump — remove foreign material such as underwear, coins, wire, etc.

    2. Check the natural drain in the same manner for any blockages

  3. 3

    3. Check if there are any incorrect connections or broken wires

  4. 4

    4. Check the drain pump resistance — should be 13.5 to 16.5 ohms

  5. 5

    5. Check if there is any alien substance inside the drain pump — if the motor stops because the water temperature is high, replace the pump

  6. 6

    6. In winter, if frozen, remove the frozen water referring to the relevant repair procedures

  7. 7

    7. If the machine malfunctions intermittently, check the wire connections and terminal contacts

  8. 8

    8. If the main PCB is defective, replace it
