What This Means
Washing heater short-circuited or wire disconnected; Heater contact error; Temperature sensor fault; Water frozen causing water level sensor to operate without water; PBA relay malfunction; Drying heater short-circuited
What actually causes this:
Often a faulty temperature sensor or a loose wire at the heater connection, sometimes triggered in freezing conditions.
First Thing to Check
Unplug the washer, wait one minute, plug it back in, and try again.
