Ice maker water pipe cannot be heated

What This Means

Ice maker motor or mechanism failure; Bad wiring connection between ice maker and MAIN PCB; Ice maker test switch failure; MAIN PCB defect

How to Fix

1. 1

   1. Press the ice maker test button for more than 1.5 seconds — motor should rotate

2. 2

   2. Check voltage at MIC01 MICOM pin 14 — should change between 0V (standby) and 5V (rotation)

   3. Check IC90 pin 2 for CW rotation (0V standby, 5V operating) and IC90 pin 4 for CCW rotation

   4. If motor does not rotate with test button, check wire connections and replace ice maker kit

   5. If wiring is good but motor fails, replace ice maker kit

   6. After replacing ice maker, unplug and replug the refrigerator and check operation
