Error Code COMP_MOTOR_LOCKED
Compressor motor is mechanically jammed or not spinning at proper speed
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: Inverter LED blinks 3 times
What This Means
Compressor mechanical seizure (locked rotor); Compressor running below 1000 RPM for more than 5 seconds; Sudden large change in input voltage; Bad value or solder at R308 on inverter board; Unstable voltage at C103 capacitor on inverter board
What actually causes this:
The compressor is seized or the speed control circuit has detected the motor is not spinning at the right RPM.
First Thing to Check
Wait 10 minutes and try cycling power — if the compressor starts briefly then stops again with 3 blinks, the compressor itself is likely failing.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check voltage of R308 on inverter board — expect 0.09Ω; short or open is a fault
- 2
Check both terminals of C103 for stable voltage
- 3
Check input line voltage stability
- 4
If circuit checks pass, inspect compressor and refrigerant cycle
