Freezer sensor replacement requires wire-splice technique

Unlike other sensors that use plug-in connectors, the freezer compartment temperature sensor is hardwired. Replacement requires cutting the wires as close to the sensor as possible, stripping 10mm from both ends, twisting conductors together, and securing with insulated tape. The replacement sensor wire should be 100mm (4 inches) of stripped-end wire for the connection.

Ticking / knocking noises from liner expansion

Ticking and knocking sounds are caused by plastic liners and shelves expanding/contracting with temperature changes, and by air pressure fluctuation when opening/closing doors. This is normal. However, if shelves wobble, securing them eliminates the noise. Service bulletin approach: remove freezer trim shelves and replace with service-supplied ones; add noise-preventing trim shelves to fridge shelves.

Refrigerator fridge side overcooling — check R-sensor first, not damper

If vegetables freeze even when the fridge is set to minimum temperature, replace the fridge thermistor before investigating the damper. A drifted thermistor can cause the controller to overcool even though the set temperature looks correct. Verify thermistor matches DATA1 table before replacing any mechanical parts.
