Incorrect water level sensor triggers 1C error
If a replacement water level sensor with the wrong material code is installed, error 1C will appear even though the sensor is physically functional. Always verify the material code matches the model before replacing the sensor.
Thermistor reassembly leak prevention
When reassembling the thermistor, push it all the way into the tub back. If it is not fully inserted, water leakage will occur. Also verify there is no gap between the rubber packing and the tub-back — any gap means high water leakage probability. Leave the rubber packing in place when removing the thermistor.
Door opens 3 minutes after stopping
The door will not open until 3 minutes after the washer has stopped or the power has been turned off. This is a safety feature, not a malfunction. The door lock light turns off after the washer has drained. If water remains in the drum, the door may not open at all — drain the drum first.
HE detergent is mandatory
These front-load washers require high-efficiency (HE) detergent. Using non-HE detergent causes excessive sudsing which leads to poor rinsing, wet loads at end of cycle, foul odors, and potentially the OC overflow error. Many consumer complaints about odor and wet clothes are actually caused by using the wrong detergent.
