Winter freezing causes multiple error codes

Freezing in winter can trigger 5C (drain), OC (overflow), and TC1 (temperature sensor) errors. Before diagnosing component failures in cold weather, check all hoses and the drain pump for ice. Use a hair dryer to defrost, or consider relocating the unit to a warmer location.

Seasonal

Thermistor reassembly water leak prevention

When reassembling the thermistor into the tub back, it must be pushed fully to the end. If assembled only partway (as shown in the NG picture), water leakage is very likely. Also check that the rubber packing has no gap with the tub-back — any gap means leaks.

Drain pump foreign material checklist

The most common foreign materials found in the drain pump that cause 5C errors are: rubber bands, paper bills, cotton lint, hair pins, and coins. These collect inside the drain pump ASSY. Always clean the pump filter before condemning the pump motor.

4C2 hot water error is usually swapped hoses

The 4C2 error on Wool or Lingerie cycles (water over 50°C) is almost always caused by the hot and cold water supply hoses being connected to the wrong inlets. Check hose connections before any other diagnosis.
