Good to know

5 technician insights for the Samsung WF45R6100A Series Washers (2024)

Detergent overuse causes LC and SUD errors

Excessive detergent is one of the most common causes of both water leakage (LC) and suds (SUD) errors. The foaming pushes past the door diaphragm seal and leaks at the front. Using HE detergent and cutting the amount in half compared to what most consumers use resolves both issues in most cases.

Diaphragm wire clamp has a specific clock position

The diaphragm wire clamp bundle must be at 5 o'clock, and you should start assembling the wire clamp from 12 o'clock. The cutout position should be at 11 o'clock and must be above the red line. Getting these positions wrong causes water leaks that are hard to diagnose because the leak appears intermittent.

Drain bellows clog causes false overflow (OC)

When the drain hose or bellows become clogged with foreign material at a narrow section, the water level detection fails because water cannot drain. The water level sensor then reports incorrect levels and the washer continues to add water, triggering an OC overflow error. The root cause is a drain clog, not a water level sensor fault.

Common misdiagnosis

Drain pump is a coin and debris trap

The most common items found clogging the drain pump are rubber bands, paper bills, cotton lint, hair pins, and coins. These migrate from pockets through the wash and collect in the drain pump assembly. Regular cleaning of the drain pump filter prevents 5C drain errors.
