Drain remaining water before pump service

Before servicing the drain pump, drain the water first by running the Spin cycle. If the washer does not work, remove laundry and scoop remaining water out of the tub manually with a cup. Have towels ready — there will be residual water.

Wrong water level sensor causes 1C error

Installing a water level sensor with the wrong part number will cause a 1C error even though the sensor itself is functional. Different models use sensors with different frequency outputs (normal is approximately 25.5 kHz with no load). Always verify the correct part number for the specific model.

Common misdiagnosis

Thermistor reassembly is leak-critical

When reassembling the thermistor, you must push it all the way in. If there is any gap between the rubber packing and the tub-back, the probability of water leakage is high. Reference the OK/NG pictures in the manual — the NG position looks close to correct but will leak.

Drain bellows clog causes false overflow (OC)

When the drain hose or bellows become clogged with foreign material at a narrow section, the water level detection fails because water cannot drain. The water level sensor then reports incorrect levels and the washer continues to add water, triggering an OC overflow error. The root cause is a drain clog, not a water level sensor fault.
