Leaking water

The most common foreign materials found in clogged drain pumps are: rubber bands, coins, cotton lint, hair pins, and underwire from bras. Always check pockets before washing and use a mesh laundry bag for delicates with wires. This prevents the 5C drain error, which is one of the most common service calls.

When reassembling the door diaphragm, the wire clamp bundle must be positioned at 5 o'clock, the cutout must be at 11 o'clock (above the redline), and the wire clamp should be assembled starting from the 12 o'clock position. Getting these positions wrong causes water leaks and error codes.

During natural draining, LC errors often occur because drain bellows are clogged with foreign material like underwire, coins, or small clothing items. Check and clear bellows before assuming sensor or pump failure.

During natural draining, the DV-case drain bellows commonly get clogged with underwire from bras and coins. This is the number one cause of LC (leak) and 5C (drain) errors. Always check the bellows for foreign material before replacing any parts.
