The water distribution motor that directs spray isn't working properly
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: No display
What This Means
Synchronous motor (distributor motor) is defective; Cam position is incorrect; Distributor motor connector is disconnected; Micro switch for position sensing is defective
What actually causes this:
The motor that routes water to different spray areas has gotten stuck or the position sensor failed
First Thing to Check
Try running a different wash cycle — if cleaning seems uneven, call for service
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check the connections for the distributor motor and micro switch connectors — reconnect if loose
- 2
2. Measure distributor motor coil resistance (disconnect connector first) — normal: approx. 3.6-4.0 k-ohms
- 3
3. Check the position sensing micro switch — brown wire to violet wire: switch ON = Short, switch OFF = Open
- 4
4. Verify micro switch alternates between ON/OFF state — if stuck in ON or OFF for 120 seconds, it is defective
- 5
5. Adjust Cam Assy and identify fault — if faulty, replace Cam Assy
- 6
6. Check half load operation on Main PBA — measure operating voltage: normal 110-120V
- 7
7. Check distributor motor relay voltage between pin 3 (Brown) of CN401 and pin 1 (Red) of CN101 — normal: 110-120V while operating
- 8
8. Check the Power Relay — see Power Relay check procedure
