   1. DO NOT use the dryer until the exhaust system has been cleaned and/or repaired.

   2. Check the outside dryer vent while dryer is operating — there should be strong airflow.

   3. Inspect and clean all ductwork immediately.

   4. If exhaust is extremely long, reroute.

   5. Check vent hood for damage or lint clogging.

   6. Clean area around vent hood.

   7. Install shorter, straighter duct run.
