Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check the PCB and thermistor
- 2
2. Measure thermistor resistance: should be 10K ohms at 25C (77F)
- 3
3. Check thermostat 1 resistance: should be < 1 ohm (infinity means replace)
- 4
4. Check thermostat 2 resistance: should be < 1 ohm (infinity means replace)
- 5
5. Check thermostat 3 (thermal cut-off) resistance: should be < 1 ohm
- 6
6. Check heater resistance: SINGLE electric heater 10 ohms (PIN 1-3), DUAL gas heater 13 ohms (PIN 2-3)
- 7
7. Check exhaust vent system for restrictions or blockages
