Error Code HE
Heater Error — water not heated or tub overheated to over 194°F
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
What This Means
Wiring connection to heater (RL2 pin4 to RL3 pin4) disconnected; Inlet water temperature very high (over 185°F); Thermistor damaged; Heater faulty (resistance should be 11.54 ohm ±10%); Controller damaged; Relay circuit faulty
How to Fix
- 1
Check connector RL2 pin4 to RL3 pin4 connection; replace heater assembly if disconnected
- 2
If inlet water temperature over 185°F: adjust inlet water temperature to 120°F
- 3
If temperature displayed in test mode: adjust inlet temperature; if not displayed: check wiring, resistance, and thermistor
- 4
Check heater resistance: should be 11.54 ohm ±10%; replace heater assembly if not
- 5
Check voltage between RL2 pin4 and RL3 pin4: should be 120V AC ±15%; replace main PCB if out of range
