Error Code HE
Heater Error - water not heated or tub overheated above 194 degrees F
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
What This Means
Wiring connection issue at RL2 pin4 to RL3 pin4; Inlet water temperature very high (over 185 degrees F); Thermistor damaged; Heater resistance out of range (should be 11.54 ohms +/- 10%); Controller damaged; Relay circuit fault
How to Fix
- 1
Check connector at RL2 pin4 to RL3 pin4; replace heater assembly if disconnected
- 2
If inlet water temperature is over 185 degrees F: adjust water heater to max 120 degrees F
- 3
If temperature is displayed in test mode: adjust inlet temperature to 120 degrees F
- 4
Check thermistor resistance (8-44 kohms); replace thermistor if out of range
- 5
Check heater resistance (11.54 ohms +/- 10%); replace pump casing assembly if out of range
- 6
Check voltage at RL2 pin4 to RL3 pin4 (should be 120V AC +/- 15%)
- 7
Replace main PCB assembly if voltage is in range but error persists
- 8
Replace relay circuit if relay is faulty
